Understanding QEEG Brain Mapping

I would like to share with you a video on QEEG brain mapping and the different kinds of “brain maps” you may find. The term is used very loosely, including a full medical grade 19 channel EEG recording to a mini style where a few channels are recorded at a time and then sort of glued together. If you were to record all 19 channels from Noon until 12:10, you would have 19 channels of data for 10 minutes each. If you were to record 2 channels from noon -12:12, another 2 channels from 12:12-12:14, etc… you would only have 2 minutes of data for each pair and it would take you a long time to gather all sites. Furthermore, there are valuable metrics of connectivity in the brain that can only be measured if they are all recorded together. Thus, the QEEG may cost more, but you have a lot more valuable data to interpret. Here is a video of me discussing the differences between the full 19 channel QEEG brain maps and the mini maps, also called brain maps.
